On this forth Sunday of Lent, the Gospel of Luke continues with Jesus preaching to a large group. The tax collectors and sinners were all crowding round to listen to Him. The Pharisees and scribes complained saying, ‘This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.’ So Jesus told them the parable of The Prodigal Son, the greatest story of forgiveness.
This parable is the most beloved by all Christians. It is an amazing illustration of God’s eternal love for us, His children, even when we don’t deserve His love. God continues to forgive us over and over through His unbounding love and mercy.
