“What Ought We Do? (Luke 3: 10-18)” by Fr. Jim Willig

This is the third Sunday of Advent and the Gospel of Luke continues with John the Baptist. Many asked John, “What ought we do?” He in turn instructed them and baptized these early believers.

They also asked if he were the Messiah, and John responded: “I am baptizing you with water, but one mightier than I is coming.
I am not worthy to loosen the thongs of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”

Fr. Jim continues his Gospel Study using the same anecdote from last week about the battleship.  Fr. Jim shares his vision of what John the Baptist would have said, instructing us today in ‘what we ought to do!”

God Bless You All!
