“I Want to See (Mark 10: 46-52)” by Fr. Jim Willig

This Gospel of Mark takes us on the road with Jesus and His disciples. On their journey, they encountered Bartimaeus, the blind man. He called out to Jesus to have pity on him.

Jesus heard him calling and stopped, telling His disciples to bring this man to Him. When he met the blind man, Jesus asked what he wanted. Bartimaeus replied “I want to see!” Jesus told him, “Go your way, your faith has saved you!” Immediately Bartimaeus received his sight and followed Jesus on the way.

Fr. Jim takes this Gospel and applies it to all of us. How are we blind? What do we refuse to see?
