“Who Do You Say Jesus Is? (Mark 8: 27-35)” by Fr. Jim Willig

Fr. Jim shares the Gospel of Mark, Chapter 8, when Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do people say that I am?”  The apostles replied, “Some say Elijah, or one of the prophets.” Then Jesus asked, “Who do you say I am?” Peter is the one who answered, “You are the Christ.”

Immediately following this, Jesus explained that He would be persecuted and killed. Peter began to rebuke this, so Jesus commanded, “Get behind Me, Satan!’  Jesus then shared the path of salvation with His disciples.
