“God’s Power in Our Midst” by Fr. Michael Sparough, S.J.

This week’s Gospel Study with Fr. Jim Willig on 55KRC Sunday morning at 7:30 is from the Gospel of Luke called “Almighty God vs. Almighty Dollar.” This was posted on the blog many weeks ago. Here is the link, if you would like to listen:

Fr. Michael Sparough’s homily below is from a retreat called “God’s Power in Our Midst.” It is from the Gospel of Mark 1: 21-28, taking place on the seashore near Capernaum. Jesus spoke with the authority of Almighty God and cast out the unclean spirit from the innocent man. It is ironic that the unclean spirit was the one who recognized Jesus.

Fr. Michael asks each of us to identity the unclean spirit in our lives. When do we say ‘my way’ instead of God’s Way.
