“Perfect in Love” by Fr. Michael Sparough, SJ

Fr. Jim Willig returns this Sunday on 55KRC with “The Best of Fr. Jim.” His Gospel Studies that match the Sunday Gospel will start again after Labor Day. At that time the radio and blog will be the same.

This Sunday’s radio recording by Fr. Jim already on the blog is “Pray, Pray, Pray.” Here is the link if you would like to listen.

For our Blog listeners, we continue with our Fr. Michael Sparough recordings.

“Perfect in Love” by Fr. Michael is a sermon that addresses the Gospel of Mark following the feeding of the 5,000. Jesus left his disciples and went to pray in the mountains by himself.  He then saw the boat with the disciples aboard tossing in the storm that had arisen, and so he walked out to them on the sea.

Jesus told the disciples “Do not be afraid,” for they were terrified by the intensity of the storm. They still did not understand the truth of who Jesus was and the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000.
