“Going Out On A Limb (Luke 19: 1-10)” by Fr. Jim Willig

Fr. Jim introduces us to Zacchaeus, the tax collector. Because he was short in stature, Zacchaeus climbed a tree in order to be able to see Jesus. As Jesus passed by, He called to Zacchaeus to climb down. Jesus then stated that He was going to dinner at the tax collector’s home.

Because of this encounter, Zacchaeus converted from his selfish life. He paid back all he had cheated in far greater amounts than what he had taken in order to live a pure and purposeful life in Jesus Christ.
