Fr. Jim Willig 10 Year Memorial Celebration

It is hard to believe that ten years have past since the death of our beloved Fr. Jim Willig. In order to honor his memory and great work, a special Mass and dinner is being held on Saturday, June 18 at the Jesuit Spiritual Center of Milford, Ohio.

This memorial is hosted by Heart to Heart, Fr. Jim’s ministry that is still actively continuing Fr. Jim’s mission – Go into all the World and proclaim the Good News to all creation. (Mark 16:15)  Please check out the website by clicking on the home tab for more information about Heart to Heart.

Mass begins at 4:00 p.m. and the dinner immediately follows. In addition to remembering Fr. Jim, the Mass will also be in honor of our much-loved Sister Mary George Boklage, and for the healing of the sick and suffering. A special blessing will be given to all in need attending the Mass.

If you did not receive an invitation in the mail for this event, please know it is not to late. All are welcome to attend.  Just send an e-mail by June 13 to Heart to Heart at heartoheart4@aol.com to make your reservation, or you can call the Heart to Heart Office at 513-791-9700. We do need to keep an accurate count of the number attending for seating and for food preparation.

Having attended Fr. Jim’s beautiful funeral, I wonder where these ten years have gone! Time sure does fly by. I have since moved to the Hilton Head, South Carolina area and am truly enjoying retirement in a Sun City community. I do wish I could attend this memorial, but such a trip is out of the question right now. I will keep you all in my prayers and be with you in spirit. I pray to Fr. Jim daily for his intercession. I will never forget him and the powerful influence he had on my life. Sister Mary George worked with me to provide music for several pilgrimages. I was blessed to have know her as well.

    • Hi Diane,
Thank you so much for your kind note. Although you can’t be with us personally, we know you will be with all of us in spirit.

I just finished the Book on Lessons from the School of Suffering.
I reallly resonate in my heart. I just done a search to find out if Father Jim was still living.
May he reast in eternal peace. I live 1.75 mile from the Abby of Gethsemani he mentions in Chapter 7. I will make efforts to pray for him and all priests……in the chapel there.
